I used to be able to use the touchpad on a PS controller as a mouse and can’t anymore. Can I change something to go back to that?

Honestly it stopped working one day and I never really bothered, or got used to using the kind of clunky virtual mouse. but I would love it back because it made reading tool tips on my hot bar, or a debuff super easy. it is because I used to play on a DS4 and now Dualsense can’t do it or did some setting change in the game? (on PC btw)
