I miss you all!

Was going through some of my old passwords that needed updating due to them being.. well, entirely insecure... since they weren't generated by my password manager way back when. This site of course showed up..

Good chance this isn't seen for a few months, but I'm going to say a few things...

1) Good job keeping this site running, Aa. It keeps the memories alive. There's even an MFA option I see! Nobody is hacking into my account now! To think of what they could do with my credentials here! They wouldn't even need to create another account like... fikoneverdies. (As every time I run into Fod in FFXIV he makes sure I remember)

2) I miss all you guys, and I know some of us are on FFXIV, others have moved on.. and safe to say few of us play like we used to. I'm friends with a few on facebook, steam, etc.

To think the last spike in activity here was 11 years ago. I'm sure we are all living entirely different lives. I sure am - married, kids, getting into my 40s...

To think I first logged onto FFXI when I was 20 or 21. Now I'm 41... yikes.

Anyway, my username is fikoreborn on almost every platform (facebook, steam, discord, PSN).

So, I had a draft reply and apparently forgot to post it... but yeah, we're still here and keeping this site up keeps up memories of some of the more simpler times of our lives.

I'm still active at random times in FFXIV between Hyperion and Tonberry. Don't have anything on FFXI active right now, but occasionally boot it up it up to go around and smack things. Passing through the zones in FFXIV sparks memories of various events from HNM camps to RMT bots fishing outside of Jeuno... crawler camps, mpk, oooh there were so many things going on. The game is mostly soloable now with the trusts, but that does take some work to build up to get access to all the trusts. (think: raising reputation/fame for getting gobbie bags and tenshodo. How about reseting that tonberry hate with gold coins in the grotto? lol.

FFXIX is good, but there's too much of the let's go fast and smash stuff, followed by boredom if you don't partake of any other parts of the tame. (patch wave riders, etc.)

I've had the same house in Shirogane since 2017 (when that housing zone opened) and it's well taken care of by the famous @Sassafras.

Gaming wise, pretty much swap between FFXIV and Call of Duty... don't really have time or interest in other games.

I recently moved this site to a new server and kind of consolidated a lot of stuff, but that fixed a lot of broken image links around the site. Everything generally works as expected and I'm still fixing a few things here and there as I run into things. (just a lot of broken image links from now defunct sites...)

That said, we're still here and this site will stay up for the foreseeable future.
