The loporrit starship moon plan never seemed like a plausible solution to the End of Days. Meteon's song reached far flung planets while being on the far edge of the universe. How would escaping Etheiris solve anything?
However, their escape plan does potentially solve the Withering!
Popular theory is that only our planet and moon are reflected, the rest of space is unaffected.
We ship out to space for a hot minute while the planet rejoins itself, then return. Of course, that still dooms the reflections and those on the source that refuse or can't leave. So its still only a backup option... and not the option that Azem would choose.
I believe the Loporrits misunderstood their purpose and Livingway will reveal the true "records" in next MSQ patch.
Hydaelyn did know that the star would potentially be reborn.
