I played 300 hours of the game 2 years ago and reached the end of Stormblood. The expansion kinda burnt me out, because it had been 300 hours but also because I found the story too long and not that engaging.
Other than the story, that supposedly gets better in ShB, my main problem was the combat content. Dungeons feels absurdly easy and historically in previous expansions a lot of raids or trials had super long queue times even when playing tank.
Therefore I'm frustrated because I feel like I'm barely ever challenged or really playing the game and just watching cutscenes. Even if the story is good, 300+ hours to reach endgame and more fun content sounds a bit rough.
So my question is : When playing through ShB nowadays, what content should I focus on if I want to have fun in the combat too (without queuing for 15 min every time...) ? I want to at least a bit challenged, even if it's not hard-core.
