I've tried searching for an answer, but all I was finding was people saying they were worried that had the play with other actual people to progress.
For context (for those who care), I'm playing mostly for the story. People were talking about the game on Facebook, fawning over how good the story was. I asked if it could be played solo, they said "yes".
I'm currently playing through all the Final Fantasy games in order, and I'm up to FF13. Reaching this point in the main series, reading those comments on FB and XIV being released on Switch 2 all happened within the span of a week so it felt like fate. I downloaded it and jumped in. I'm finding it a bit awkward to play in general (I guess it takes some getting used to), but I'm not hating it, so I do intend to play further. I don't want to have to play with others though, if that's possible. I'm not an MMO guy. The only one I've ever played was City of Heroes, and that was about 20 years ago (and I only really partied up with friends).
