I usually choose Glams for my characters using lore. For example, for my red mage uses an aetherpool weapon. The lore behind this is red mages use their own aether which is empowered by their weapon. What is better for this an aetherpool weapon which literally made of pure aether that you manifest? I use Wake Doctors coat for outfit since RDM can heal as well as attack.
My blue mage uses Chocobo mask and parrot clothes. The reason being is blue mages use monster powers so why not dress as the creatures your power comes from?
My white mage uses plague doctor clothes since as a white mage your focused on healing but also can do damage so a plague doctor to me is the perfect lore outfit.
My reaper uses Courtly Lover outfit since it's got flowers and Reapers come from Garlean farmers.
For my crafting classes I use starlight clothes since crafting is all about making things and what better to represent that then starlight/christmas clothes.
