Essentially, I haven't been able to actually play this game since I first downloaded it a few days ago. For context, the very first time I launched the game, everything worked perfectly. I watched the opening cutscene, created my character, watched the first in-game cutscene, walked around the starting area, talked to who I think was Modi, and then had to stop playing for the day.
The next day, I loaded back into that same building and was able to talk to another NPC. However, when I left the building to go elsewhere, the game closed. There was no error message, no crash report, and no warning signs like lag, freezing, or stuttering. The game was running smoothly one second and then just disappeared.
After that, every time I tried to launch the game, it got progressively worse. At first, I could load into the world and take a few steps before it closed. Then it got to the point where the game would close almost immediately after loading into the world. Every single time, there was no error message or indication that a crash was coming.
So far I've tried:
None of those fixed the issue.

I'm not sure if either of those could be contributing.
While searching for a solution, I also found another post on this subreddit from about 11 days ago describing what looks like a very similar issue. They were playing on a gaming laptop, so I'm not sure if it's related, but I figured it was worth mentioning. Link
Thanks to anyone who made it this far and has any suggestions! I really appreciate the help. Steam says I have 20.3 hours played, but unfortunately, less than 1% of that has actually been gameplay because I've spent almost all of it troubleshooting. I'm still hopeful there's a fix.
TL;DR: The game worked perfectly the first time I played. Since then, it crashes instantly with no error message whenever I load into the world. I've already tried resetting settings, restoring game data, updating my graphics drivers, and updating Windows, but nothing has worked. Running on Windows 10 with a GTX 1660 Super, Ryzen 5 3600, 16 GB RAM, and the game is installed on an external SSD.

- Using the launcher's "Restore Game Data" option.
- Updating my NVIDIA graphics drivers.

- Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 (6-Core)
- RAM: 16 GB
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super (6 GB)
- SSD: Samsung Portable T5
A couple of other things that may or may not be relevant:
- I'm playing the game from an external SSD because my internal drive is full.
- I'm still on Windows 10. My PC doesn't meet the requirements for Windows 11, but I have enrolled in Microsoft's extended Windows 10 security updates.
I'm not sure if either of those could be contributing.
