- Exclusive to FFXIV. Multiple other games (Guild Wars 2, Hunt Showdown, and Granblue Fantasy Relink did not have frame drops)
- Stutters drop anywhere in game. Hub city, duty, private home, etc.
- FFXIV has run fine on this setup on this monitor for years.
- Stuttering affects the in game audio and music too.
- I run in windowed at 2560x1440 at 100% standard HD. Frame Rate is set to Main Display Refresh Rate, which is 144.
- Changing screen mode, Frame Rate, or Resolution did not stop the issue.
- Closing outside programs like browsers or discord did not stop the issue.
- Windows event viewer does not have any relevant logs matching the timing of the stutters.
- Resource Monitor has been cleared and did not stop the issue.
- Multiple restarts have been done and did not stop the issue.
- Updated graphics drivers and did not stop the issue.
- Disabled Xbox game bar and did not stop the issue.
- System Stats are:
- AMD Ryzen 9 3900X
- AMD Radeon RX 7800XT
- 32GB RAM
- Windows 11 25H2
- Main Display: LG QHD 2560 x 1440 IPS, 144Hz (Adaptive-Sync is off)
- Task Manager does not show spikes in CPU,Memory, or Disks.
- CPU utilization is not above normal.
- System temperatures are not high, around 70C
- I see a dip in the GPU 3D utilization when the stutters happen in game, but no changes in the other graphs.
- Only recent changes to the system are disabling Copilot and Search Box Suggestions via regedit, which I have since re-enabled. Did not stop the issue.
