I play a Miqo'te with the S' in front of my name. This week on a whim I decided to seek out all the NPC members of the S Tribe, my character's relatives. It didn't take very long, there was only 5 of them I could find, even after checking the wikis.
While looking for any I missed I noticed that some were labeled "missing" after 1.0, assumed dead in the Calamity, which actually made me a little sad because I had grown attached to the idea that these NPCs were family. But after A little digging I found one that had survived but escaped notice!
S'lyhhia in 1.0 was a caretaker at the Frondale's Ward for Friendless Foundlings, that small room up near the Alchemist's guild sometimes used for holiday events. Turns out she still works there! She just lost her name privileges and has become the "Hardworking Healer". Same look and everything though, even hangs out with the same other NPCs!
I probably won't be able to visit her any time soon, the room she is in only opens up on holiday events, and even then only when it is relevant to the event quests. But it's nice knowing that a family member of my character I thought lost in the Calamity is still around! It felt right that the time of year I went through this little personal adventure was around the Rising Event.
So, I would like to suggest to all my fellow Miqo'te, spend a little time looking into your NPC tribemates, might come away with a cool story! As for everyone else, maybe there are other "missing" NPCs who are actually still around, could be a fun scavenger hunt.
I don't use reddit often, if ever. So please forgive me if I don't know the proper etiquette. I hope Fluff is the correct flair to use. I just hope you all enjoy this small story.
