 | Started the free trial for the very first time on Switch 2 last night. Thought I would give my first Impressions here. Joined the Crystal server and started by making a Lalafell version of the main character from Quest 64. Decided to play an Arcanist, because I heard they could upgrade into two classes, and that seemed pretty useful. Watched a cutscene where I was attacked by a member of Organization XIII and woke up on a ship where I talked to a pirate and he pointed out two white-haired characters who feel like they'll be important later. Landed safely in Limsa Lominsa, where I started doing a bunch of early-game quests. The city itself is actually really pretty. I love large, interesting cities in games, so this piqued my interest already. Most of the other players in the city seemed to keep to themselves. Not much interaction from what I could see, which was kind of surprising to me, since I heard so much about the community of this game. Not that I'm bothered either way. Not 100% how my class works yet, but I'm able to beat all the enemies in the starting area pretty easily, so I must be doing okay. I have an attack spell, a healing spell, a defensive buff, and I can summon Ruby Carbuncle sometimes. It's a straightforward enough class. Overall, I'm enjoying it so far.
