I think every now and then we find THE thing. Right place, right time, right feeling. It can be a video game, a book, a park, heck even a partner.
I don't really know if I have the proper words to describe how it felt my first week playing months ago (still a sprout btw).
It was an odd sense of starting a big adventure, everything new, interesting story, but also some sense of familiarity and a vibe of being at "home".
I found FFXIV when I was quite sick actually,and playing it through recovery, making friends, and getting though the MSQ was what got me through it.
Since then, I have made REAL friends, discovered I love MMOs, even started talking more and getting more social. I'm having a ton of fun just in my own little world with the people I let in
I find myself not playing everyday now that life has gotten more busy, but it makes the days that I log in even more sweet. Although I'm HIGHLY impatient for some holiday PTO and FFXIV haha
I know I'm not alone with these feelings or experience, but I just wanted to get all this off my chest, say hi to everyone, and ask:
What's your relationship with the game look like these days? Are you still logging every day? Subbing on/off? What is bringing you happiness in ffxiv?
