As the title suggests. I think repeating grinds are very frustrating, which is how I ended up doing exactly one full ShB relic while stopping at the Anemos step for the Eureka ones. ARR is also kind of violent with how pronounced the RNG is. The implementation for Endwalker seems like it was born out of necessity with the pandemic being what it was, but I didn't mind the tome sink - it just wasn't 'complete'.
The Phantom Weapons are amazing in that regard though! While I would strongly encourage to give a pity system to stuff like the Atma step in order to make it less unpredictable in scale, I think one time grinds combined with tomes are good thing, and I really want to see it implemented again. I have mixed feelings on the item procurement steps, obviously, and I really hope we aren't making expert crafts a part of this again, but...
