Hello GMs, Devs and other Square Enix staff!
I would like to request that if a player equips a Fashion Accessory, in all instances it's consistently the player's choice when they are unequipped.
This post is a direct reply to the FFXIV Game Master Team, and their mail sent to me (Towering Crow @ Sophia), received earlier this evening. This suggestion is my understanding of how fashion accessories should work and in most instances, is coded to work. Perhaps it's an exception that proves the rule, however I'd still like to call out what looks like an inconsistent behaviour.
Thank you for the warm clarification that for a specific interaction, the behaviour was working as-intended. I do appreciate that by now I'm building a record of reporting niche interactions between game mechanics and fashion accessories, so I'm grateful to have such positive interactions with GMs and indirectly with Forum Staff in the Bug Reports section. That staff remain "open to any feedback [players] may have" is always a positive!
To the devs: Fashion Accessories have come a long way from the humble parasol, now with a variety of wings, backpacks and torches in the collection, I'm looking forward to seeing what's added to the game in the future! (Wing mounts from the Dawntrail Extremes have been a related, inspired addition and I'm cautiously optimistic about what possible reward may come from completing the set in 7.5x!!)
To the GMs: Thank YOU for your boundless courtesy and patience with overly enthusiastic and specifically passionate players like myself. Your ever kind, nuanced words are always welcome.

PS: As a comment, earning my Fallen Angel Wings (at the time valued about as much as a medium property on the Materia Markets) has been one of my favourite personal accomplishments in FFXIV. It was a source of many memories from not-so-altruistic FATE farming with the Free Company, arranging map runs around then-current Elpis and 'perhaps' some fun 'conversations' with my European friends about Bicolour Voucher prices on their markets. Thank you for engineering such activities and perhaps appreciating why I'm specifically passionate about this area ehehe.
