FanFest Anaheim 2026: Thank you to all Staff!

This was my first FanFest. And a month ago (long after we'd purchased tickets), I fractured my foot and have been stuck in a CAM boot and cane. I was concerned there'd be issues with standing/walking.

But, no.

Not only did the ADA Crew guide us down for ADA registration on Day Zero, but every effort was made by ANY staffmember (whether it was Allied Universal, ADA crew, or Square Enix Staff themselves) to ensure I was comfortable in any line (if one was to be stood in). Access to elevators, water, restrooms, food, quiet rooms, seating, etc. was ample. And every worry I had was eased.

On top of the praise for such incredible ADA Awareness (this was my first time ever - I'm 46 years old - needing to use such services), but praise for all staff I'd met on a whole:

From security folks, to staffmembers just holding doors, to staff monitoring the aisles, to security check-in, to Chris and Mike operating the jib, to the vendors (Kapil!!!) and event staff (such endless energy!), to the helpful folks at Information, to the dude handing out peace bonding, to the patient folks at the Merch registers and Merch counters, to SE staff (I'm smiling at you, Will!), to meeting the Dev Team and screeching their names, hugging Koji Fox (TWICE!), and meeting all the Warriors of Light.

And don't get me started on the memories. SO MANY! I'm so hyped for upcoming changes, the concerts were amazing, and I *will* endeavor to attend again sometime.

Every year in FFXIV, the Rising event brings tears to my eyes. Now? After having seen how perfectly human everyone was and the unabashed emotion shared by those who are involved? The entire game has evolved another level.

And for that? I thank you. All the Dev Team. All staff involved. All companies hired. All attendees.

Thank you.
