most of scholars damage comes from its dots. all 3 of they stack have a 45 second duration.
there is very good reason why scholar dps rotation is like this
cause shielding players is primery focus now on scholar. most raw healing come from your fairy where your shields and managing them completely up to you.
When you use Energy drain now it also reset the dot timers. all dots have a global cooldown. your shielding abilities make up and give you time you need cast each individual skill this means now your shield spells now stack on top of each other creating even bigger sheild. however have reduced effect. instead of reseting it to static value. however stop this being absolutely broken sheilding you give is reduced little.
