Hey fellas. New player here who just started the game because I'm kind of in the mood for an MMO to sink my time into. I've played some of the MMOs in the market (think black desert, lost ark) but never really tried FF because the series just seemed so daunting until now (I mean you guys have like what, 17 games??). But my friend said that the story doesn't actually matter and I can get some context by just playing the game.

Anyway my questions would be:
How's the new player experience? Is it grindy? Is the game P2W? This will be my first time playing a "paid" MMO.
Since this game looks like it focuses a lot on raids and stuff, would it be difficult for a new player to "progress" the raids normally? Would I struggle in finding a party to do stuff? Since this game isn't exactly new I would think that the older players are already way up there in "endgame raids" and I would be stuck for hours trying to queue for a 10 yr old raid.
Is there any sort of "meta tier list" that I MUST pay attention to when creating a character/job/build? Or is everything in a viable state?
