Hi! I've been experiencing some problems with FFXIV lately, it doesn't happen in case of any other games. Started happening after updating the Nvidia drivers to 595.71.
First scenario: there is an error (DirectX 11000002) after launching the game (usually I can log in to the game, see people moving etc. and after a few seconds everything freezes for a moment - after that I'm back to my desktop with an error message).
Second scenario: everything the same as described above, but my PC restarts instead (so I don't see any error message).
Not sure what's going on. Started happening like a week ago. I've been playing on and off for more than 3 years now. My current PC is almost 1 year old (no changes to my setup lately).
Sometimes nothing happens - I can play for hours without any issue. Usually - if it doesn't happen when I launch the game, it will not happen at all.
My PC is up to date (Windows, drivers etc.).
My PC: 9800x3d, RTX 5080 (undervolted since day 1), 32GB RAM (6000), 4k monitor. Game is installed on an SSD - WD Black SN850X. I keep my FPS at 100, temps are fine - CPU usually below 50°C, GPU around 65°C.
What I've already tried:
- tested RAM via Windows tool - no errors/problems
- tried previous Nvidia drivers - I had no problems with 591.86, it started happening after updating to 595.71, rolling back helped for a day or two, now I'm on 595.79
- disabled Steam overlay - the only overlay I'm using right now is Nvidia's as I use filters (been using it for a long time, so nothing new)
Any suggestions? Do you experience any similar problems with the game?
