Inspired by the fun and silly challenges of the community like the RathGames solo runs, I assembled a group of people to participate in a challenge of my own : Trying to clear every Normal Mode Trials in the game without moving.
The rules are simple :
► Everyone places a waymark, goes to that waymark and stops moving until the end of the fight.
► Rescue are allowed. Job dashes aren't allowed except if the fight is impossible to do without (ex Bismarck.)
So far, we're currently in Stormblood and we did :
► Without dashes : Ifrit, Titan, Garuda, King Mog, Leviathan, Ramuh, Shiva, Ravana, Thordan, Nidhogg, Sophia, Zurvan, Susano, Lakshmi and Shinryu.
► With dashes : Nabriales (was probably doable without but a bit boring), Bismarck, Sephirot
This is actually one of the best FFXIV experience I've had so far. It might look uninteresting or boring but I promise you it's actually a lot of fun, rediscovering fights, establishing strategies that utilize smart positionning and exploiting the jobs kits as best as you can, especially on Healers.
Since damage are way less predictable, I probably had more fun healing some of those fights than I did the last savage tiers. :')
And it's also a good way to play content with friends that haven't reached endgame yet.
I'd love to share more about this challenge and discuss with y'all, so AMA!
