| I got to the final planet recently, and noticed this loporrit chilling above one of the stations at the main plaza. A number of years back, I'd tried out a recipe for agua de avena (oat juice), with carrot juice + orange juice + oat milk, and it was pretty good. I don't have an espresso machine, but I do have a cold brew pitcher. So I tested a few combinations of ingredients, and ended up with a result I liked. It's not a hot beverage like a latte, but it's been nice in the hot weather. If you have the tools and means to make a proper latte, (espresso machine, moka pot, etc) have a try at making a proper "carrot latte" yourself. -100ml cold brew concentrate, or more, to preference* -150ml carrot juice (store bought or blender chopped carrots with water, easy to find a guide online) -100ml milk -1tbsp sweetener, or to taste** (I preferred agave nectar over sugar, but either will work) -1/2tsp vanilla extract Combine and shake in a mason jar or shaker. *The 24hr steep of my cold brew pitcher guide said 100ml would be close to the strength of 2 shots, which is comparable to a latte. **Agave nectar has a flavor sugar doesn't. I thought it paired well with vanilla and the carrot. Maybe vanilla or caramel syrup, or brown sugar could be good alternatives. submitted by /u/Rooftrollin [link] [comments] |
