1. open FC Tab
2. go to Members
3. Send Friend Request to FC Member through Interface
4. get "Unable to add to friend list. Prospective friend is in a different area"
what we tried:
- Adding through FC Menu - didn't work
- Adding through FC Chat - worked
- Adding on alts without FC - worked
- Adding on alts in different FC - worked
it seems to be connected to the FC itself
workaround:
- you can add people through the FC Chat (so if they did type, you can rightclick their name)
- once in your Friendlist, it will no longer appear at this specific person (even if you both remove from the Friendlist of each other, so it seems the Data of being Friends is cached or smth?)
Connection Specs
- Type of internet connection/provider: Free
- Modem maker/model number: FreeBox Ultra

To obtain the system information, open the FFXIV launcher and select Config → System Information → Display.
