As the title says, even now we can't remove ourselves from other people's friends list, I have searched about this and the answer that people online and Yoshi P give is that there's a cultural difference between Japanese players and the Western players. I can see that being true but AFAIK there's more players in the other servers and there's no reason to not give it as an option. At minimum it should prompt you with the option to choose if we just want to remove them from our friends list or if we also want to be removed from theirs.
Is this something we can all agree that we want to have in the game? Because I know an alarming amount of players that have had stalker issues or simply just want to remove someone completely for whatever reason, this is something normal in every single game and app I know of and it would be cool if we could all gather as a community and let Yoshi P know that we want this. It's a basic friends list function that should be added, I can't think about any reason not to have this honestly.
If there's any chance of any kind of FFXIV content creator reading this, if you agree with me, make some noise about this, let's actually show that we have the best community in gaming and show that we can work together.
Finally I'm sure and I know this must have been talked before either here in the subreddit or in the forums but we have to continue the fight and make our voice be heard once again.
TLDR: We need this feature in the game and I believe we should all gather and ask this in a formal and collective way.
