Overall, I really enjoy Beastmaster. I find the job dynamic and fun to play, and the Crucible of the Unbroken is interesting content that clearly had a lot of work put into it. Personally, I enjoyed reaching Legendary ranks, getting all my beasts to rank 25, farming the different items and gear, and gradually learning how to play the job more effectively.
That said, I think several adjustments would greatly improve the experience.
Beastmaster requires us to process a huge amount of information at once: 50 beasts with different abilities and characteristics, enemy weaknesses, casts, beast HP, which beast is currently tanking, items obtained during the run, and so on. I enjoy this depth, but the amount of information to learn and manage can quickly become overwhelming.
The Bestiary filters could also be improved. I would like multiple filters to work together. For example, if I select Fire + Blunt, I want to see beasts that meet both criteria, rather than every Fire beast mixed together with every Blunt beast. This would make preparing a team much easier.
There are also several quality-of-life improvements I would like to see in the Crucible. It should simply be impossible to start an encounter without selecting any beasts. I would also like the option to forfeit directly from the beast-selection screen before entering battle. Finally, adding a **“Restart”** option alongside Suspend and Forfeit would make repeated attempts much smoother, instead of having to leave the Crucible and enter again every time.
As a console player, I also think some Beastmaster actions could be consolidated to reduce hotbar bloat. For example, the basic combo could potentially use a single button. Tempered Release could perhaps share the Battlehorn button instead of requiring another hotbar slot.
I also question whether Borrow and the resulting Beast Mode action really need to occupy two separate buttons. In my experience so far, I have never needed to use the borrowed action and then immediately Borrow again simply to change it. Consolidating some of these actions would free up valuable hotbar space for abilities such as Rally and Rallying Cheer.
