Attendance

2 Cents

Attendence is never a problem from CoP and Northlands. Ever... And being that NA's have had this game for a long time... My suggestion is do more northland and CoP runs. Moreover just Northlands. Kinda frustrating saving my points for only 2-3 runs out of the month Ill want to use them in. Unless I want to lot 100's in cities when I showup - which having done in windy 3 weeks ago I think Garret wanted to eat me alive. X.x Sorry Garret didn't know what else to lot? x.x Making money isnt really what I want to do in Dynamis - Id rather be lotting on AF2 that I really want. But what option left do us people collecting points like dust suppose to do?
Ill support your city runs with every fiber of my being if or if i dont get af2 before and after the fact - i will. Just be nice to see more area's I could actually use my points in.

Anyways my 2 Cents... -Spirn

The problem with doing almost Northlands exclusively is multi-fold, they suck for currency & a number of people are upgrading, and we do schedule an extra amount of them every other month, this upcoming month for instance has 9 runs, of these over 50% are Northlands/CoP, so that's a pretty fair representation in my mind.

If people want to see a lot more Northlands scheduled then I would change it to the sponsors of Northlands receiving all currency which drops, 100's included. Otherwise it does not balance out well to upgrading.

works for me just get my damn gloves lol

I don't know what your situation is. But this is mine...

I sign up for clears mainly. I haven't lotted on anything even before your changed lotting rules. Heck... I even forget to lot on the money because my dynamis LS lets it auto distribute.

I've gone for Cop Dynamis clears and thats pretty much it. I can't do Sunday runs because I go with my own Saturday dynamis runs. And I'm hesitant in going on your Wednesday runs because it makes me late on Saturday.

I would assume it is safe to say that it is quite rare seeing this in any particular Dynamis. With sponsoring or even free lot being the more popular ways, at least.

Probably is. The problems I have with free lot is that people become interested in "who's winning" the lots for money than focusing on the run at hand. Another issue I have is that if you're in a job that is forever busy in dynamis, sometimes you mindlessly just cast lots on the whole treasure loot with little regards with whats in it.

I have and I know many who have committed the first "crime". It causes needless deaths and clutters the LS/party chat with "you hax" etc etc even if its in good humor. I have also commited the 2nd crime as well. I usually manage to catch it in time but I have gotten some AFs because I'm too busy to pay attention to what I'm lotting. I end up being the last person lotting and happen to be the highest lotter. Do I feel bad? Yes. But as I said, I'm too busy to pay attention to something insignificant as the treasure pool so I just cast lots whenever I can.

I can tell you that in Tavnazia runs, I have monitored who is going to be outlotting my 970ish lot etc.

True, but still is rare. Actually I haven't ever heard of that personally, but I am sure others have. If it works it works though.

and your point being Lylie?
My point is that I'm kind of shocked to see a Dynamis LS just let 100s drop randomly to people. It's very unusual to see this happens, it's actually the first and only LS I've heard do this, while (almost) every single LS do sponsor runs nowadays. But before you start arguing back, you guys do whatever you want, and if everybody's happy with it, then good for your LS. :)

I've been doing Dynamis with DX for a little more than a year, then took a break, and went a couple times with them in March, and I've rarely saw us do such a bad job on CC or killing because people would be busy loting and chating. Sure, it sometimes may cause little problems, like someone loting on your AF2 by mistake, but a few tells solve the issue real fast. And generally, if people are doing a bad job on CC or killing, it's not because they're busy loting.

I've been playing RDM in Dynamis for now 1 year, and even though I'm really busy sleeping stuff, enfeebling, curing, refreshing, hasting and whatnot, you always can find 5 seconds to lot. It just requires a bit of attention. Lag is more of an issue when it comes to lot and/or pass on AF2s or 100s, than paying attention.

As for the "Hax contest" thing, it's sometimes fun, and sometimes gets boring. It all depend on people's mood, and how chats are being spammed. If it comes to a point where nobody do anything but chatting and joking, leaders will just tell them to shut up, and that's it.

I have nothing against you, but you make it sounds like it takes 10 minutes to analyze what is in the treasure pool, and 10 more minutes to lot on stuff. Just curious, what job are you playing, to be so busy?

And once again, I've got nothing against your LS nor you, if this does work for your people, it's all good. :note:

I've gone with the Dynamis LS that Razor is talking about, and it is an odd experience not lotting the small stuff. However, 100s are lotted as usual. They don't just let those drop.

It's different for some jobs, especially whm. I've gotten faster at lotting over time, but it still takes attention, and that diversion can cause problems. I know of one occasion when we were still lotting singles that Garret died because the other whm and I happened to be on the treasure screen at the same time. With most jobs, it's not an issue. There's time after sleeps or hastes or stoneskins or attacks/provokes when you can spend 5-10 seconds to lot. For many jobs, taking 30 seconds would only slow down their damage rate slightly because they're already attacking the current mob.

For whm or any other job that's playing healer, you are your party's lifeline, and a drop in attention for 5-10 sec can be deadly if things happen at the wrong time (especially all at once). You pick your priorities, and mine ended up that if we're busy and there's not time to lot, I don't lot. I know of at least 2 exp scrolls I missed lotting last Xarcabard because we got busy and there wasn't time. I wish I could keep the treasure screen open like some people do, but that doesn't work for mages in general.

Anyway.... >_> Having singles drop without being lotted ends up being the same as having everyone lot them. The only difference is that if you don't want items, you have to actively pass on them. Well, that and you don't have one more distraction getting in the way. ^_^

lol, as far as the lot bot jokes... I'm still laughing about the shadow ring from sunday. 998 > 997... that was insane

Cut the arguing please.
It's not arguing, it's more like, discussing. I agree with Varda, I remember once my tank dying because I was loting stuff, and all of a sudden realized the mob had Hundred Fists'd our tank and said to myself: "Oh shit!". But it was more because I was lazy to do my WHM job this day, rather than the lack of time to lot stuff.

Keeping it in message now. :pc-01:

I realize you all weren't going at it tooth & nail, just didn't want the thread becoming a heated debate.

And yes lotting can be hard especially as a puller because we can have down times where its easy. Other times you pull nonstop and unless you autorun (not safe) you arent easily lotting.

Discussion or argument its still not the point of the thread, right?

Well if it's any help, I'll be back and running city runs...at least Sandy and Jeuno...could use the points otherwise I suppose haha.
