Wanna signal boost this post; started having the same issue as described at around the same time as the post. World froze then was unable to do anything. Couldn't log off so restarted the game. Cannot even reach the FFXIV launcher. Am stuck on "Connecting to PlayStation Network"
Am on EU (Chaos) and PS5. Internet and Playstation Network appears to be all good based on statuses. Based in the UK if that is of relevance.
Edit: other poster is also UK based so might be an issue specific to Brits
