Anyone else wish the MSQ was more gameplay-heavy?

As much as I love the story, I don't really like how there are very long stretches of "Go here, talk to this NPC, watch a cutscene" between each Dungeon, Trial, or Story Duty. How slow the default mount speed is without flight or riding maps only exacerbates this. I know this game is very story-focused, but it's also a video game, an interactive medium, and you spend very long stretches of time doing things that are rather un-interactive. Honestly I would enjoy the MSQ a lot more if A: we got a dungeon or trial every level instead of only every 2 levels, and B: the 1st mount speed upgrade just became the base mount speed. As is I merely tolerate all the walking and talking because of all the gameplay-heavy side content that opens up at the end of each expansion's MSQ.
