I've played FFXIV for 10 years on and off but my current character is the furthest I've ever gotten. Just about to start Stormblood. For context I get to play about 3 hours a day, sometimes more.
I've been wondering if I'm spending too much on my playtime each day doing daily/other tasks rather than progressing the MSQ.
I do ARR beast tribe quests, I plan to max them before moving onto Heavensward tribes and so on.
Daily frontlines for series xp and gradually build up wolf marks/crystals mostly for glam stuff
Gold saucer, i just play cactpot and fashion report
Wondrous tails. I unsyc clear the ones I can do quickly. Anything else I just do 1 a day through duty finder.
Then just send my retainer on hunts and squadron. Then I get on with the MSQ.
It feels right to be doing this stuff so I'm gradually progressing them rather than pumping the MSQ and having to start from scratch later. Curious what others did or do while working through the MSQ.
