I played it for a bit when it first came out, cuz I was looking forward to a new Bozja-type zone. And I liked the FF5-inspired elements to it, and the idea of the setting having disparate elements of different cultures from multiple eras. Lore-wise, it's cool.
But gameplay-wise, I feel like it's kinda empty?
Not like Bozja necessarily had a ton to do either, but unlike Bozja, you can't even level up, so that right away put me off. I'd been looking forward to place to level grind like Bozja allowed for.
The Phantom Jobs are kinda cool for a little bit, but ultimately don't seem like enough to hold your attention. And there's no incentive to stay in the zone for the relic weapon grind since you get way more of the required materials from just doing dailies.
I also was never able to get into the Forked Tower since it was always kinda dead. I figured I was late to the party and everyone who did it didn't feel like coming back to do it again? And from what I understand there's been no updates to it since it dropped, right? The new zone comes out July, iirc, but between it's release and now there hasn't been anything new?
Anyway, I'm just wondering if there's anything here I'm missing, and if people are enjoying it. Without being able to level up, and all that's going on is relic weapon grinding that I don't even need to be in the Southern Horn for...is there anything else to do in the zone?
