I'm a pretty new player to this game with about 100 hours in and did the crystal tower raid for the very first time. Up until now, I've been playing paladin and have been told I play really good for how new I am, as I've never touched an MMO until now. I chose tank since my other option, DPS had a 30 minute queue time. Every ounce of confidence in my body shattered as soon as I stepped into that raid. Had absolutely no idea what I was doing with all these random symbols on my screen and people making callouts to me that I didn't understand. Got absolutely humiliated and flamed in the chat, so I did some research about alliance raids but I still don't think I understand the whole picture of playing as a tank on an alliance raid, as I feel there's a lot of unspoken rules and such that I need to understand. I would really love some advice as someone who's new to ff14 and MMO's in general. I'm gonna keep my head low and play DPS next time.
