First I want to say I love the story in every one of these. This is just a list of which one I personally connnected more really. I don't try to look from an objective viewpoint or anything like if writing was good etc.
Not that I don't like ARR. I actually like it very much but some parts drag waaaaaaay too long and although this is a list for story. Combat before level 50 or something is just so awful it also affected my taste for the story lol.
I guess this is a bit of a hot take here but I dont like Heavensward expansion as much as others. Maybe I had too much expectations as I heard it was awesome. Though I still love it. Especially Hraesvelgr and post-MSQ parts (which was awesome imo). First time getting into Ishgard was magical though after hearing so much about it
I like this one because I always liked freedom fighters kind of story. And I also really like Lyse for some reason. Zenos sucks I didn't really like Doma parts much but it had some emotional moments. I started the game in Thanalan and I remember being very intgrued about the Little Ala Mhigo talking to everyone there so seeing them finally return land and helping them against the Empire was very satisfying for me.
Aside from the final parts I really liked it overall. Void parts were a bit weird for me. Also Zenos again lol. But the visuals were insane from start to finish.
I really didn't expect to fight with Zodiac so early on. That was an insane plot twist for me.
Seeing Ancients and living with them a little was mindblowing for me. Meeting with Venat, seeing the "Hear, Feel, Think" 's original longer version. The same with Old Sharlayan. After hearing SOOO much about it finally we get to explore it albeit on the smaller side I liked it a lot.
What can I say. From the trailer to the end it was amazing. I had no idea what was coming with this one. Getting transformed into a random world seeing all others are there in the Trailer. The absolute beauty of said world and later finding out how horrifying it actually is.
I also liked Crystal Tower a lot when I played it. Someone from my FC was saying it was really good and encouraged me to play through it (I don't remember if it was mandatory back then I took a lot of breaks in between expansions or if I was just bored from ARR content lol) and seeing G'hara again was extremely emotional to me.
Finding Scions, reuniting with them. Getting into Eulmore, Emet-Sench, Warrior of Darkness story I can go on and on about this one. I really love it.
Anyway I just wanted to talk about it after finishing this part of the story!
