I wrote an article on Substack describing how my group conceptualizes the passage of time in RP. We all hate the "time bubble" that canon forces us into, so we've sought a consistent way to measure time across FFXIV narratives (original and canon) that remains faithful to what choices for the passage of time the devs have given us.
Check it out. Fair warning, through, there is a lot of algebra involved. This is a very autistic project made entirely out of love and passion for this game and its RP community.

An extradiegetic study reconceptualizing the relationship between Earth's arrow of time and Etheirys's. By harmonizing evolutionary psychology with user-experience design, this article dissolves the static nature of MMO time. It introduces a functional algebraic system to convert Gregorian dates into precise moments within the Sixth Astral, Seventh Umbral, and Seventh Astral Eras, establishing a 1:1 isochronal map for narrative roleplay.

Enjoy, and feel free to talk about it! I'd love to hear what people think.
