A Question Pertaining to the FFXIV Team's Logic of Handling Strikes

I've been thinking about this for a bit considering the Bald Man situation as well as other problems that have showed up in the past for FFXIV's lifespan in regards to Strikes and Bans.

Far as I know(from off-hand knowledge and also looking back through some videos) the strikes are handled as such:

First Strike: 3-day Ban
Second Strike: 14-day Ban
Third Strike: Perma-banned

From what I've heard if you play for 6 Years without getting a strike, you can get one of them removed. This logic normally would be sound - if it wasn't for the 6 years.

But that's just the tip of the iceberg. When it comes to FFXIV, there is also the case of mass reporting; namely a large group of people taking issue with a person in question(maliciously or justified) and reporting them usually with the same tag or issue.

It gets reviewed, and more often than not gets said person thrown into Mordion Gaol. However, this is where things become problematic: The person in Mordion Gaol gets no chance to be able to defend themselves, and is already considered guilty the moment that they are thrown in there.

At that point, they are told what rule they broke, but not how they broke it. This is more or less to prevent retaliation once they are removed from Mordion Gaol; however, this creates a major issue and can prevent players from actually realizing what they did wrong in majority of cases.

So, this comes without asking: Why are Game Masters so vague to the point that they can't point to certain things such as "the words you used" or "what you posted on social media" - or to go further, "a clip showing what you did" in the case of Twitch Streamers?

It becomes a conundrum and does nothing to help a person realize what they did wrong, whether it be because of what they said or did, or if it's because of a mass report. It sounds even worse from the Game Master as well because it feels more like an automatically generated response than it is an actual human being, and with AI being a concern in XIV's player sphere, it would do best to at least help the player gain an understanding of what they did to get to this point without mentioning the reporting party.

But in general, what can their team do better when handling these situations in Mordion Gaol so the player isn't left perplexed if it's their first strike?
