Hello! I haven't made a forum post like this before and I'm not really sure how to structure this so it may be pretty word salad-ey but I'll try and update or add on things as I refine my thoughts.

Overall I'm pretty happy with the info we got revealed yesterday! As a long time player, the long overdue death of the two minute meta, in my opinion, seems to free up the team to design more interesting and hopefully complex jobs as well as fights (as we've begun to see in Dawntrail) and I'm very happy to see this.

It's interesting because the Evolved jobs despite clearly having a sleek, streamlined veneer are somewhat reminiscent to me of hw/stb job design.
From things like PLD getting their counter back, but now it's tied to shelltron and with a 'perfect timing reward' is the exact kind of interesting intersectionality between the best parts of old and new xiv.
I have no notes for Bard honestly, it looks pretty nice! I like how it's sort of another take on DT-Era SMN, but as a support focused physranged. I also do love the Wanderers Volley, super cool stuff overall.
On the topic of WMH and DRG however, I do understand that these are indev and also quite early as well and maybe this is just a side effect of us being shown them early, but I feel like they're both missing something, some layer of complexity. I can also completely understand if this is just the design for white mage being more healing focused and an 'easier' option, but without seeing other healers I can't help but feel like the team is still reluctant to give healers more interesting offensive options. On the topic of DRG, while I do feel like its missing something as well, the 3 jumps giving 1 hit of True north adds an interesting form of skill expression via using them effectively and not just off cd. Lastly for DRG: the concept behind sky high is just about perfect. Giving DRG something so quintessentially Dragoon as an aura farming leap up into the air where they slam down for massive damage is super cool and plays to the fantasy in spades. The real stroke of genius though for me comes in the form of the fact that it also is a (currently anyways) 90% mit. This makes my mind race with the possibilities of what crazy things could be pulled off with this. The fact that I could, as a tank, double shirk a DRG and 'use them as a cooldown' is really cool and the exact kind of thing I play MMOs for!
