They're back, and with a NEW challenge (and currency…) for the main event prize! Now, this is a 2-part Treasure Trove event (like Genesis I / Genesis II we had in 2024) so the list is shorter than what we typically see—but there's still a fine list of prizes to be had through the usual irregular tomestones and Mogpendium challenges. Speaking of the Mogpendium—where is that, again?? If you need a refresher, or it's your first time: Short 6-minute Mogpendium Video Guide Even shorter text guide: Talk to an Itinerant Moogle (if you haven't yet) and your Mogpendium will be indefinitely available under Duty > Collection > Mogpendium. You can even assign it to a hotbar for easy access! This sheet is something I update for myself every Treasure Trove and like to share. It is far from the only tool out there for these events, so choose and use what works best for you! Thanks for checking out the spreadsheet, and remember to have fun in the tomestone mines! If you want to see some reward previews, or my opinions on what items are worthwhile tomestone investments, read on! EVENT EXCLUSIVESThe official FFXIV image for the Uolon mount from the event page. A large goobbue-like creature covered in blue and yellow fur except for its hairless and dark-skinned face, with blunt horns on either side of its head and small pointed ears sticking out to the sides. An Elezen man sits atop the Uolon's head, looking tiny in comparison to the creature. First and foremost, the NEW Uolon Horn, at the usual 100 tomestone cost for debuting items. BUT ALSO, this massive new mount reward will require 10 Uolon Horn Tokens on top of your mountain of 100 irregular tomestones! This is a NEW event feature, incentivizing players to make user of the Mogpendium Minimog and Ultimog Challenges—as those are the exclusive method of obtaining these Tokens, awarding 1 Token and 5 Tokens, respectively. Per the event page, Uolon Horn Tokens can be earned during BOTH Astronomy Treasure Trove events. However, we do not have information on whether Astronomy I irregular tomestones will convert to Astronomy II irregular tomestones for the purpose of buying the Uolon Horn. If you can't secure 10 Uolon Horn Tokens during this first hunt, my advice is to plan to stockpile 100 of the Astronomy II irregular tomestones once the second hunt begins. Left to right: Mameshiba Neckerchief (green-and-white handkerchief with a tan-and-white mameshiba head hiding the knot); Skyworker's Singlet (No dyes; dyed Hunter Green and Iris Purple); Craftsman's Apron (No dyes; dyed Cactuar Green and Soot Black) Next, a returning item in the form of the Mameshiba Neckerchief—which was last available over 2 years ago, in 2024, during the first hunt for Genesis! Hand over 50 tomestones for this handsome hound hankerchief necklace. (CAUTION: its cuteness is highly susceptible to clipping) And then, Special Timeworn Maps are once again on offer. These maps guarantee treasure dungeon portals, so gil, treasure, and achievement hunters alike would do well to stock up on these! They're 15 tomes each, and the Presumably Special Timeworn Maps are brand new to this event. (It's so new there's not even a lodestone item page for it, at time of writing!) Sadly no Lv 70 ones to stockpile this time around. (RIP Luckiest Lord / Luckiest Lady hopefuls) Special mention: MGP Platinum Card. If you're chipping away at some of the big purchases from the Gold Saucer, but don't have the time or interest to goof off in those gilded halls, then these beefy 50,000 MGP vouchers are glorious indeed. Skip the sticker gambling of Wondrous Tales! A collage of 7 screenshots showcasing the Dhalmel mount, the Ramuh mount, the Hallowed Kamuy mount, the Ishgardian Half Barding, the Emerald Barding, the Domakin, and Conditional Virtue. MOUNTS, BARDINGS, & MINIONSRamuh Crystal (50 tomes): Eden's Verse: Refulgence (Savage), guaranteed drop. Don't have it? GRAB IT! Or gather up a full party and have some fun steam-rolling a savage fight unsynced. There's great glam to be had in there, and the music is fantastic. Worth it whichever way you choose. Hallowed Kamuy Fife (30 tomes): Seiryu (Extreme), random drop or 99 totems. I personally solo Seiryu (Extreme) regularly and easily for Wondrous Tales, and it's a pretty short encounter at Lv 100. Slip a moogle 30 tomes, and you can skip that, I suppose. Dhalmel Whistle (7 tomes): Kupo of Fortune prize (Ishgard Restoration). If you're still missing this goofy creature, absolutely pick it up for 7 tomes. Be free of scratch-off RNG, kupo! (and spare your inventory the pain of crafting to earn Kupo of Fortune in the first place) Ishgardian Half Barding (30 tomes): Vedrfolnir Devoteth FATE. This is a guaranteed reward if you pull gold credit completion on the FATE. The catch: this is the final FATE in a chain of FATEs in The Churning Mists—which can be challenging to attend. There's an achievement along with the barding if you do the FATE! But if you want to add this to your chocobo's closet without the wait-for-a-FATE frustration, 30 tomes is a fair fee. Emerald Barding (5 tomes): ARM Lv 80 (mastercraft); crafting material from Castrum Marinum (Extreme). Don't have it? GRAB IT! For just 5 tomes, this is a steal. You could also shop around in-game (for the barding, or materials) but getting 5 tomes is almost certainly faster. Conditional Virtue (30 tomes): Eureka: Baldesion Arsenal, GC Materiel Container 4.0. (both RNG) Don't have it? GRAB IT! While not as rare as it once was, this minion does still pack a powerful punch if you wanted to earn it yourself. Half a million gil or more on most NA markets, and a gamble whether you run BA or try your luck in GC Materiel Containers. Domakin (7 tomes): Retainer Venture (FSH) Lv. 80 Waterside Exploration XXV. (RNG) Buy the fish. If you're like me, your retainers will never pull the good items from their 18-hour ventures. Not even if you spoil them with BiS gear. And, let's be honest, you probably don't have a Fisher retainer leveled and geared. Even if you have this fish, buy the fish. Give it to a friend. Or hold it and sell it later. Once the event is over, this gorgeous guppy may be worth a few hundred thousand gil! TRIPLE TRIADThese cards have quest requirements to show up on the Itinerant Moogle's list of goods. These quests' Lodestone pages are linked in the spreadsheet. Card links below go to ARRTripleTriad, which offers community-submitted feedback on drop rates and NPC difficulty. Ananta Card (10 tomes): Garima (The Fringes) Battle Garima. This NPC drops 2 total cards, and extras are free MGP if you trade them in at the Gold Saucer. If you hit 20 wins without both cards, then 10 tomes to the Moogle it is. Kotokaze Card (10 tomes): Kotokaze (Kugane). Battle Kotokaze. Her deck is pretty weak and she plays with Same rules, so if you have a deck built around 8s you can brute force AND same-stomp her pretty reliably. Fat Chocobo Card (7 tomes): Vath Deftarm (TDF) (RNG), FATE: Special Tarasque Force (TDF). Special Tarasque Force is up constantly in The Dravanian Forelands, and a Blue Mage with a few choice spells completely trivializes this beast of a boss FATE. The card's a guaranteed drop with gold credit. Plus, it's got an achievement. Don't care, want card now? Kindly cough up 7 tomes, kupo! OTHER COLLECTABLESThe three main poses in the /elucidate emote, from Ballroom Etiquette - Stimulating Soliloquies (15,000 Wolf Marks). Ballroom Etiquette - Stimulating Soliloquies (30 tomes): /elucidate emote from PvP (15,000 Wolf Marks). Great for free trial players who aren't allowed to PvP! If you even casually do Frontlines for leveling, or keep up with your PvP Series FOMO rewards, you'll be drowning in Wolf Marks and probably already have this. And it's Unique/Untradeable so no gil-making either. Samsonian Locks shown in 2-tone purple hair, with head turns to demonstrate bangs, length, rigging, and humanoid ear visibility. Modern Aesthetics - Samsonian Locks (7 tomes): PotD: Bronze-, Silver- and Gold-trimmed Sacks. Eh. This is a fairly common drop from Palace of the Dead loot, worth less than 50,000 gil on most worlds. Grab it if you'd rather spend 7 tomes than spend any gil and want cute long hair with a green clip. Highlight color appears as a gradual fade down the length of the hair. Naia apologizes for not showing that off better. The Legendary Beast Orchestrion Roll (50 tomes): E11 Eden's Promise: Anamorphosis, random drop. BUY. Have it already? BUY then wait THEN SELL. This orchestrion roll is a pretty rare drop and sells for up to a million gil on most worlds. If you're looking to add it to your collection, the choice is yours: farm 50 tomes to get it for sure, or—no, sorry, I refuse to advise anyone farm for such a low drop item. Unless you also want glam from the Savage, I guess?? What is Love? Orchestrion Roll (15 tomes): 1200 Skybuilders' Scrips. Grab it if you're missing it. Skip the Ishgard Restoration inventory massacre to earn scrips. Simply obtain music. Even if you happen to have spare scrips, there are far better things to spend them on. GLAMOUR GEARThis kupo closet confounds me, I must confess. On offer are just 3 of the 7 Body pieces from Saint Mocianne's Arboretum / Pharos Sirius (Hard), along with 2 trendy tops from Ishgard Restoration. Sorry. Let's get the easy part out of the way: YES, the Skyworker's Singlet and Craftsman's Apron are both worth picking up! Yes, 30 tomes each is a bit steep—but (you may have noticed a trend here) skipping the inventory hell of Ishgard Restoration crafting is a blessing!! The Ishgard Restoration glamour gear, even years after its introduction, still holds a lot of value. The designs are unique, you can dye them, and there's not many people earning and spending Skybuilders' Scrips—so the supply is generally low, and price steady! As of this write-up, the Singlet is listed around: 200,000+ gil across NA and EU worlds; 250,000+ gil on JP worlds; and a premium 450,000+ gil on OCE worlds. The Apron's prices are around: 100,000+ gil on NA and JP worlds; 200,000+ gil on EU worlds; and 250,000+ gil on OCE worlds. Prices will likely experience a temporary drop due to this event. Storage Notes: The Skyworker's Singlet is eligible for Outfit storage, but you'd need to hunt down the other 4 items to complete the set—Skyworker's Helmet, Skyworker's Gloves, and Skyworker's Boots cost 1200 Skybuilders' Scrips each, and the Skyworker's Bottoms cost 2000 Skybuilders' Scrips. Marketboard prices range from 60,000 gil to 800,000 gil per item, depending on piece and region/world. Similarly, the Craftsman's Apron is eligible for Outfit storage, and to complete that set you need 2 other items—Craftsman's Leather Trousers (2000 Skybuilders' Scrips) and Craftsman's Leather Shoes (1200 Skybuilders' Scrips). Marketboard prices range from 90,000 gil to 230,000 gil per item, depending on piece and region/world. Coat of the Defiant Duelist, shown on its own and with complete 5-piece left-side gear, along with 5 other pieces of gear that share the same model: Coat of the Daring Duelist; Valkyrie's Coats of Striking, Aiming, and Scouting; and Lakeland Coat of Casting. Coat of the Red Thief, shown on its own and with complete 5-piece left-side gear, and Coat of the Ghost Thief, shown on its own and with complete 5-piece left-side gear, plus 4 other pieces of gear that share the same model: Coat of the Lost Thief; Valkyrie's Coats of Healing and Casting; and True Blue Coat. Okay. So. Coat of the Defiant Duelist, Coat of the Red Thief, and Coat of the Ghost Thief. Are they worth 15 tomes each? NO. Not in my opinion. Now for the dye-abolical part: NONE OF THESE CAN BE DYED. Not the items on offer, and not the same model options, either! Also, the majority of these are from Level Cap dungeons, which means it's all RNG whether the one you want drops at all. However!! The "Level Cap" in question is Lv 60. Which is very easy to farm unsynced, even on the free trial. So whichever piece you actually like and want, I say just target your preferred dungeon that drops it, and go gremlin mode on treasure coffers as you blitz bosses in a handful of GCDs. In the case of the Lakeland Coat of Casting (should you prefer its colors) that IS a drop from a Leveling Dungeon, which means you're guaranteed to get it, eventually, if you run it on a casting job and keep the relevant pieces. (search "always" in the linked patch notes to find the details fast) Storage Notes: None of these have good storage options at present. They can go in your Glamour Dresser. They can go in your normal inventories. Every item is a storage slot. TL;DR: OO UOLON! AND A SHORT BUT STILL TASTY PRIZE LIST!PS: HOUSING ITEMS. DON'T DO IT. That's a waste of tomes! Cheese Fondue Set? Korpokkur Chronometer? Bamboo Fence? All well under 1000 gil on the marketboard. And easy to craft besides.
