So, I was reading the chat while I was taking a break from dungeons and someone posted: “If you’re not already in a clique, FFXIV is a lonely game to play.”
I scrolled up, and (I’m assuming) they were responding to someone else who asked about how to find friends for content. Of course, they could always go onto the group finder, but (again, I’m assuming) they were looking for long-time friends instead of a quick run-and-gun.
Admittedly, I’m not quite sure WHO the person who said this was responding to (if they were responding to anyone at all) but what they said really opened my eyes to something. I’m a newer player, but I’m *blessed* to have people who routinely hop on the game with me to run content and just be my guides as I experience the game for the first time. I can’t say that the game feels “lonely” to me, because they’re willing to hop on at a moment’s notice (and myself for them in the rare case).
TLDR: So… would you consider FFXIV a “lonely game” or a game where it’s difficult to find friends in?
