In WoW when you defeat Onyxia or Nefarian (big mean dragon dewdz), their head is placed on a totem in the Orcish capitol, and everyone in the city gets a city-wide buff that lasts an hour. But no names are posted on a server-wide message. :hmm:

yah, that was definately some hardcore crap that happened to lose our besieged.
at least it was NA that got it!

That would be Orgrimmar if you're Horde. If you kill Ony or Nef on Alliance, their head is hung on the arches outside of Stormwind.

Yes, it doesn't announce all the times.. I've noticed the shouts are different sometimes... But in some instances it will list the person who turns in the head of the mob defeated (Head of **** drops off any worthwhile endgame boss, starting a quest that entails giving the head to some city guy, and you get to choose an awesome equip reward) and it will shout that they have defeated so-and-so and such.
 
It doesn't annouce who did it if there's already a head up. And you also don't get the buff.

P.S. Oh yeah... congrats on... what you did... and such.
