Hello I'm new here and recently picked FFXIV up again after I temporarily quit 2 years ago.
So I started out as Arcanist and went Scholar (currently lvl 48), which brings me to my question. What's it like playing as Samurai or Red Mage? I'm close to reaching 50 and would choose either one of them. Scholar/Healer is simply too stressful for me to be honest, not that I performed terribly with it but I feel like it's just not as fun to play compared to others. In raids I've always been on edge when my party members made mistakes and were close to dying etc
Anyway, after reading a few descriptions, SAM and RDM seemed the most interesting classes to me for now. I don't know if that's true but since I started as a Mage. were I to be at a disadvantage (regarding attributes) if I picked Samurai since it's a physical DPS? Back when I actively played attributes worked a little differently I believe.
I'd be grateful for any input on that matter, thank you in advance!
