So far, all the space travel we've done has been focused entirely on the Source. Hopping into the Ragnarok and flying off from the Source can get you to Ultima Thule, all the Cosmic Exploration planets and whatever else.
However, what if you did the same on one of the Shards? Are all the Shards located in small pocket dimensions, so if you tried to leave via spaceship you'd just smack into some invisible wall? Or does each Shard have a whole entire universe surrounding it?
We see that the 1st does have a sun, which would require at least a solar system, and a night sky full of stars, which would require at least a galaxy, so that points to the latter option.
But then again, we only ever hear of the star and humanity being sundered, not the entire universe.
Any ideas?
