The new system shown off at Fanfest looks interesting, but it was incredibly vague. What gear will have this option? Is it just chest pieces or will it apply to other pieces too? A lotta things we just don't know. Regardless, here are some of the things I'm personally hoping for:
1) Being able to toggle off one arm for hand pieces for an asymmetrical look. Having a single gauntlet is a cool look, but there is only a handful of items that have just one arm covered. And on a more personal level, I have one character alt that I headcanon as having a mammet prosthetic arm, so having more asymmetrical gauntlet options would be good for them too.
2) Turning off the machinist lunchbox. Personally I don't mind it too much, but it does sometimes clash with some of my glam ideas for the job. Having the option on guns to turn that off would be a nice option for those that don't want it.
3) Gender locked gear toggle. Thankfully, outside of the Garo items, gender locked gear is now a thing of the past. However there are still instances where some pieces are entirely different based on your character's gender. The Nier collab gear being the biggest offenders, but also a ton of leg pieces where they are full pants for guys, but a skirt or shorts for gals. If this new toggle option lets us switch between versions freely, that would be amazing.
Now unfortunately I don't want to get my hopes up too high. Already got burned by the two dye channel system they added in DT. But still, really hoping at least one of these wishlist items happens. How about you, what are you hoping for with this system?
