I was mulling over the idea of who might be the antagonist at the end of the "Stormblood" portion of the story, and I think I hit on a pretty good idea with Godo from Final Fantasy VII.
My reasoning was:
I hope it is Godo, seeing as I always liked Yuffie's Pagoda quest and I think the masks and all would look very great in XIV. I have no idea if a Yuffie parallel would show up alongside him or be alluded to, but I wouldn't be opposed to the idea given how much I like her character. And, assuming I'm right in my reasoning, maybe Edea or Adel will be the Level 80 Blue Mage solo duty boss?

My reasoning was:
- Level 50's boss was from Final Fantasy V, Level 60's was from Final Fantasy VI, so if they keep following tradition then VII should be next.
- Seeing as Stormblood was the fantasy Asia expansion, someone from Wutai would fit.
- He has three different masks, which could be swapped between for the three rounds of the fight.
- Godo was also tied to a solo challenge in VII.
- Godo taught the Blue Magic Trine, which is in XIV already as a spell for God Kefka. Perhaps he could be an alternate to get the spell, assuming the devs give him the ability.
- Godo is a fairly memorable enemy from VII and would fit the trend set by Siegfried. I suppose Azulmagia was somewhat memorable, especially since you could make him blow himself up if you used Self-Destruct on him?
