The issue with queueing potions and food

Queueing has been applied to damage potions and food this last major patch.
While im really happy that gemdraughts feel good to use in combat now, i got several issues with the whole ordeal.

First - why was food chosen to be queueable, when we have other important items that players would benefit from much more - regular healing potions, regen potions that exist in field operations and deep dungeons, items removing status effects. Why were those not prioritised over food?

Second, i know this one is bit of old habits speaking, but i find myself using too many servings of food buff because the animation takes long, so if i click one too many time, it will just use more when animation ends.

Why even make food queueable? You're using it before combat even begins, so there should be no issue with how it was before? Aside from extremely rare scenarios when you'd want to remove food buff because of % based damage, i dont see any reason to apply it in combat.
