Good day/evening.
I’m not sure how to start this post, so I’ll begin with a little bit about myself.
I’ve logged over 12,000 hours in *Final Fantasy XIV*. I have two characters that have completed the entire main story, with all jobs leveled to 100. I also have a whole bunch of low-level alts—just so I can occasionally run around as a "sprout" on other data centers and see what life is like there. I’ve cleared current Savage raids and several Ultimates.
Over the four years I’ve spent in this wonderful game, I’ve had the chance to play as various races, but my heart truly belongs to the Lalafells. I also love roleplaying—sometimes I even roleplay a Lalafell who was magically transported from the First—it makes for some really interesting scenarios!
HOWEVER, I’ve had more than enough of the constant hate from the community (especially from EU and NA players) who accuse me of playing as a "child" and use all sorts of other labels... ( man, i am 28 years old, and my character is 30-31)
PEOPLE—please, read the game’s lore! They are literally dwarves, gnomes, little folk—hobbits, if you will!
If I’m standing around in Limsa wearing nothing but shorts, someone *inevitably* comes along at least once a day to say, "Oh, look, a lost child!"
I have sideburns and a mustache! Just look at my face!
I don’t know what it would take to get the developers to notice this post—maybe I need to donate a huge sum of money, or visit every single temple in Japan to offer a prayer... But please, I’m begging you:
UPDATE THE LALAFELL DESIGN! Compared to other male and female character models, the Lalafell look *slightly* better than the Tarutaru from *Final Fantasy XI* (sorry, I know that sounds a bit sad?
).
Also, please—I beg you—expand the variety of beards, mustaches, and sideburns available for all male character models! It’s especially painful that, in order to get a better-looking mustache or beard, you have to buy a Fantasia, change your face type, and sometimes even switch your sub-race!
Please—PLEASE, PLEASE! Take notice and at least send a reply, T.T! I want to play as dwarves, because I’ve always played them and absolutely love them! I don’t want to lose that passion—whether it’s in Lineage 2, WoW, Warhammer... or here, in my beloved Final Fantasy XIV!
