I'll be blunt with you guys, I suffer from Manic Depression (Also known as bi-polar), Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), Clinical Depression (Was diagnosed separate for some reason) and PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder).

Before you guys say "Get treated!" I am currently in treatment and have been for years at this point. But if you do suffer from any clinical illness, seek professional help! Please.

Here's my idea for all of you that suffer from anxiety and or had a bad experience with a toxic individual. Go into a dungeon or raid, don't even think about it. I know it's hard to overcome the "what if's", but you need to think positively about yourself and the possible experience you can gain from overcoming this.

If you're ANY role, simply ask the question "Is there a specific mechanic i should watch for?". Don't even say you're new or anything, just ask. ESPECIALLY if you're a tank or healer. 99%, hell, 100% of the time I have tanked on my warrior all the way through Stormblood, I don't think I've come across a single person who was like "HA! LOOK AT THE NOOB! HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW MECHANICS?!". At least in this game. And if I did, I would either A. Keep my cool and try responding politely. Or B. Leave the dungeon and take the 30 minute debuff... You would have a far more pleasant experience in that 30 minutes, then you would dealing with these types of people.

To share a personal experience with you guys, me for example, I am afraid of joining FC's 90% of the time. I know, silly thought. But I always end up in the guild with that "group of friends" I don't know, or they have established cliques i'm not comfortable with. But I overcame that fear just by recognizing that I can be apart of that group of friends. That i can participate with other players in the game, even ones from my FC and possible have even more-so the chance to avoid the negativity you may or may not encounter.

So that is my advice to all of you suffering MMO anxiety. Just give it a shot or two, I promise you will triumph and ending up enjoying the game a whole lot more if you did...

This was heavily inspired post by Zepla HQ's channel on youtube on her video of anxiety... I just wanted to share with all of you :)
