Hi, so I’ve been playing this game for, I wanna say a decade. Didn’t care for it at first but it slowly pulled me in. I loved where the story went leading up to endwalker, but it really just sort of lost its touch it seems.
You have such a vast storyline, and so many possibilities to intertwine side content with the main story itself, and I’m just hoping you make this ff7 implement relative to the actual world of eorzea. Not because I’m a fan of ff7 but because of story possibilities.
Make FF7’s world a shard/reflection specifically because of its villains; Jenova and Sephiroth. Jenova should be a variation/reflection of Ultima from the tactics alliance raids. But I think it would be a great idea to also implement to the plot that ultima is actually a weakened state of Athena’s corrupted aether (thus Jenova is also). This can connect the story and make it more relative instead of just pure fan service. The reflection idea with Jenova would make sense too sense the heart of sabik came from a different world as well.
The Heart Of Sabik: there’s still so much potential for more story content from this. Not just with Jenova, but with an actual villain behind it all.
My idea: Meteion and her sisters actually fell from corruption because of the heart of sabik’s presence on the world. Hermes had hidden influence from the artifact (like Athena) and was unknowingly doing stuff it wanted him to do. In the end, Hermes and Meteion were just pawns to an even greater plan, to get the universe’s planets ready to destroy themselves in order to be devoured by “despair”. Meteion could be FF XIV’s version of Silver Surfer, causing mayhem for the real threat, a “galactus” like being.
So how could you lead up to the big baddy villain, and how could this ff7 connection help keep things interesting story-wise? Well with making it a shard on the brink of collapse due to Jenova, you can make the player combine with his soul/reflection from that shard to face Jenova (or combine after everything is done) What character from ff7 would be the player’s reflection of that world? You’d think it would be Cloud, but no, it’s none other than Sephiroth himself. You see, the villain behind the heart of sabik is still pulling strings and it now has its interests on you, the player. His plan is to use Sephiroth as a vessel and absorb the shard/reflection to become godly and slowly make his way to other reflections and the source.
