I just tried to get back into FFXIV after a few years and went ahead to the Square Enix account to pick up a copy of Shadowbringers to get me up to speed. I noticed that the key keeps registering as invalid when I try to add it to my account via Mog Station. I then see that I apparently have a steam account and based off what I've read I need to have a steam key instead.
....Did I just waste $40 on this copy that I can't use now? It won't be accepted by steam or the Mog site and it looks like I just have to buy it through Steam again. Their support is also all closed down/limited to email as well, so I don't feel like I can really get a refund at the moment. Thoughts?
