It appears that FFXIV should be backwards compatible with PS5 for all of you playing on console (like me) that are upgrading. He said yesterday in an interview 99% of all PS4 games will be BC and if you own them digitally you should be able to just download them to your PS5 from your library.
Here is hoping FFXIV won't fall into the that 1% since it would be nice to take advantage of the SSD. And before you say, "play on PC" no. I am a console gamer, always have been and always will.
