Apple just announced at WWDC that they're going to transition from the Intel architecture to their own CPUs. This wasn't a real surprise, but I take it this means that not only is Boot Camp over, but every app that uses Wine (including FF XIV) will cease to run once Apple pulls Rosetta from some future macOS version. And that's assuming Rosetta will run Wine apps.
So, the question is: what now? Will the FF XIV team give us a proper macOS port, will they keep the game running on Rosetta as long as they can (assuming it runs), or will they just abandon us? I suppose I could go back to playing the game on PlayStation, but I'd like to continue on macOS...
