To preface this, I’ve been playing for a few years now, but I’ve always stuck to casual content, and haven’t touched an extreme that wasn’t soloable unsynched. But, I told myself that Dawntrail would be the expansion that I would finally get into doing extremes, at least. So I look up a guide for EX1 and… oh. I was under the impression that expansion release extremes are typically the easiest, but there are quite a lot of mechanics with very specific positioning. Am I expected to memorize all of this, because it just seems like quite a bit? Maybe I just underestimated how approachable extremes were. People seem to say that extremes are approachable midcore content, but it seems like it is magnitudes harder than anything I’ve seen in the game so far. What exactly should I be expected to know before heading into a learning party?
