Schedule?

If the we do 2 apollyons per night, two nights in a row, yes 50% (1 out of 2) would work, but for the mages to lot their Temenos gear in the upcoming Temenos cycle, they would need to come 2 out of 3 (2 apollyon nights and the Omega Fight count). Vice versa for Temenos. 2 per night 3 nights in a row, Mages would need 2 out of the 3 Temenos nights to lot that Ultima. Melees for upcoming Omega need only 2/4 which includes the Ultima fight, etc.

I hope to start doing 2 per night at least so that we can fly through the lotting orders for everyone. Attendance seems to be there with our recent members.

I was curious was my chance at helm shot when i wasn't able to make it due to irl issues and money issues or does it still carry over? either way its no biggie because i know i'll be at all runs once i have internet back

Unfortunately would still depend on the overall attendance and how many runs is needed in both zones to make yourself 50%+. We just starting Temenos cycle and are 3 chips away from Ultima. Depends if we do a dual run again, if not, t he total of the runs in temenos will be 6 (needing 3/6 for 50%).

back to the original post re: scheduling. is the plan to cycle through Temenos > Ultima then Appollyon > Omega and keep rotating like that?

i personally think it should be apollyn>>temenos >> ultima>>omega that way everyones forced to always be there so its not like "i dont want nashira so missing a run wont be so big of a deal to me"

Well, I guess the reason we started doing Apollyons > Omega > Temenos > Ultima is that it is a continuous cycle. For Mages to lot Ultima, the Apollyon > Temeno > Omega > Ultima would work prefect because the mages attendance is very easy to track in that "set" of runs. The melee's are still going to based on the previous temenos of the previous "set" of runs so will still have to go back and track attendance in the past like we do now. Whatever works overall is what we strive to do, so these are excellent suggestions and we appreciate the talking.

I know I've talked to the sacholders about this previously, but I might as well bring it up here too. It seemed to me that requiring 50% attendance for each zone was pointless if we didn't have a set schedule available ahead of time. I understand that the intent is to prevent people from only attending one zone or the other, but as it stands now, we show up on a particular day not having any idea which zone we're doing. It's not even possible to avoid a particular zone currently, since we never know which zone we're doing until well after the gather time. It's not like anyone can say something like "oh, well if we're doing Temenos tonight, I'll just sit this one out."

I guess what I'm saying is that I think we should either have a 50% attendance for each zone required with a set schedule available, or just do random runs each day and require 50% attendance overall. Requiring 50% of each zone without letting us know ahead of time which zone we're doing just gives a strict disadvantage to those who have low (but greater than 50%) attendance.

To put it another way, if Gunman wanted to make sure that I couldn't lot Homam EVER, even though I maintain a 2/3rds (67%) attendance for every cycle, he could do it, just by scheduling certain runs for certain days. Obviously he wouldn't do that, but the point is it would be completely out of my control.

the runs as ive seen it are fair as is if its a job preventing you then knowing wont make your attendance able to fit it either way So i mean i dont see where the issue with attendance and such is when thats the first complaint ive even seen about it

Well, it's not just scheduling them ahead of time, it's also making sure that Temenos and Apollyon runs are evenly divided between Tuesdays and Fridays. Requiring 50% attendance of each zone seems counterintuitive if members literally have no say in which zones they attend. Using myself as an example, I've spoken with the sackholders about this very issue (not to alter my lotting rights, but to point out a loophole, so to speak). For the second Omega, I had 6/11 (55%) total attendance. However, because the majority of Apollyon runs were on Friday, I was only able to attend 1/4 of those zones. If one Apollyon and one Temenos zone had been switched (which is completely determined by who shows up on a particular night, and which zone the leader wants to do), I would have had 50% attendance in both and would have been allowed to lot.

Personally, I feel like scheduling runs ahead of time is not the answer, since we don't know who will be attending. We could have no BLMs show up preventing certain zones, or we could have 20 people show up and be able to schedule a dual run. With that said, if the members have no say in which zone they attend on a given night, requiring 50% attendance for each zone seems unfair. It doesn't cause a problem for those with 75%+ attendance, but it does for those of us who maintain at least 50% attendance but aren't at every run.

It's not possible to have 50% attendance in each zone without having 50% total attendance, but it is possible to attend half the runs and still not be able to lot.

Well I know I won't be able to make Fridays from here on out. (unless something happens with work that on a given Friday and I get it off). My new job starts 6/29 and the days of my job will be Thursday/Friday/Saturdays from ~8PM - 2AM. So this means I will only be able to reliably attend Tuesdays only, and in the end, might even cause me to have to make a decision about my attending Negatron as a whole. I know I am just one person so I am still thinking of the whole group when I say stuff like everyone else is. If it doesn't work out for me, it's ok since it is my own situation.

Going to be gone this week..again ._. Leaving in a few hours to move my great-aunt's belongings out of her assisted living place and put them God knows where, and then visit her in the hospital...sounds like she's not going to be around much longer :/

Friday I'll be gone moving into my new apartment which doesn't yet have internet apparently. Hoping I'll be back by next week but I honestly have no idea :o

I am sorry to hear about your great-aunt. Take as much time as you need. We will be here.
