Recommended Non-LS Invitees

I have no issues with inviting outsiders. The good thing with LS Dynamis is you can kick or not invite retarts.
Outsiders do help the runs go smoothly but i would be more concerned about having too many outsiders.

It was my understanding that it's not strictly a LS only dynamis, but rather a dynamis we have more control over. With invitees, we could ensure that we get talented players who know what they're doing, won't Astral Flow the slept mobs, engage with a trial weapon and then AFK, and won't cherry pick/loot whore/otherwise dick us over. That way, we have the forces to yield good drops, without having to run into the bad seeds. At least it seemed to me like tonight's people: reward ratio was pretty decent.
On a different note, like I told Yels, Amentis and Rayna are unable to make it for our runs, period. There was a misunderstanding about the days/times. XD

Could set a "Cap" number of people per zone.
I.e. Sandy- 24
Xarcabard- 35
Let's say 24 ultima members show up for sandy, no non-ls people can join
30 people show up for xarcabard, leaves 5 spots for non-ls. once those 5 filled no others. Or something simliar to that. Invites goes to those with priority (have been going to dynamis already).

Thats kind of close to "using" people it seems. SORRY GAIZ WE HAS ENOUGH YOU CANT COME, but when we need more people to come they can? Sure, we put our members before others since it's an "ultima" dynamis, but I don't think we should treat people like PAWNS IN OUR CHESS GAME. Just a half assed thought.

If we're going for a cap on max ppl, I think I was more a fan of the concept of nobody being allowed to invite more than 1-2 people or something, I think that was mentioned originally? But I agree that telling ppl they can't come to one zone, but please show up and help for a different one, is kinda shady.
You can't invite more than one person to any given run. 24 is the target. If you see 24 waiting to enter and everyone who is not from Ultima was invited you are too late to invite someone else. If 24 Ultima ppl invite 24 other people we will likely revisit this, but for now it seems to be ok. We can farm as a linkshell without any outsiders without too much trouble. Being able to invite someone is more to be able to get to know people who are interested in joining and provide you with an opportunity to do something big with a friend.
Don't think it's fair to un-invite people for some runs. Idea is to have a nice regular group of people that get along, and effectively telling people to piss off at times won't help with that. Think it is certainly possible to invite enough to have decent regular attendance and if attendance dips down just take note of who isn't showing up and if its persistent enough say they are not welcome anymore.
What about the people inside the LS who only come to certain ones because they need a piece of AF, are we going to hold them to the same standard as the invitees? Tell them they aren't welcome because their attendance sucks?
I would hope that LS members don't do that, however IMO the point is to pick & choose outside invitees, not to be selective of LS members.
Let's be honest though, I love everyone, I was totally content with 64 person Xarcs because it's fun to blow stuff out of the water, so I am not the one to ask about such things =P

In all honesty do you think we are really going to kick ultima members for cherry picking? There is no way that is going to happen. This dynamis is suppose to kinda a said static. It will be only our 3rd run tonight and I have already seen some signs of cherry picking from some ultima members. Some people who were at bastock were online doing random stuff during the sandy run.
24 people is enough people to farm any zone. But I want to see our LS get decked out in shadow gear. For that to happen we are gonna need more then just 24 people a run. Gonna need mid to high 30's for a xarc clear for that to happen. While I don't see us clearing a xarc for at least a month away I would like to see us head in that direction. There is no reason that dedicated invitees should get the boot from a run cause some ultima members want to come to certine run for some AF. If I was a invitee and came to every run regadless if I needed something or not then was told not to come to run cause they have enough people and I look at the zone and see 26 people. I wouldn't want to go to dynamis anymore with that group. Why should I waste my time to show up to run just to get the boot for someone else when I am always there and bust my ass during the run. At the same time we don't want the numbers to get too big. If attendance gets too high we will close invitees and then start looking if anyone is sandbagging the run for a possible kick to bring numbers down.
As things are ATM I couldn't be happier with how things are going. Things are running smoothly everyone is pulling thier weight during the run and we have gotten a lot of drops both runs.
As for invitees. You are suppose to only invite one person per run. Everyone knows there are exceptions to every rule. Not that its a issue anymore but Et bringing his wife and one other person is fine IMO. I brought two people to bastock. One was a long time friend from my old LS who I was 100% sure he would do a good job. The other is a RL friend of mine and someone who came to DX on a normal basis. Sass asked me if she should bring sharain and one other person. I told her that was fine cause sharain is basically a mini ultima member herself.
Things are progressing great. Lets keep it up guys.

In all honesty, if you're already noticing this, it needs to be nipped in the bud right now, or it's going to get a lot worse. The whole argument for an honor system was that it's intra-shell, and that we should all be looking to put in our fair share of the work for the items we're lotting. If that's not enforced from the get-go, you're going to see a lot of people abusing the system, both from Ultima and from the invitees, and you won't have any right to question them for it. I mean come on, it's only been one week and we're already seeing stuff like this?Heie said:
