Random Disconnect (900002)

Hi,

I’ve been looking into a networking issue that’s causing FF14 to disconnect randomly. We have three people in the house playing at the same time, all 3 systems disconnect at the same time.

I’ve verified that IE is configured correct, there are no Anti-Virus alerts blocking network traffic, and the TCP ports are correctly open.

Examining the hops to the Elemental Datacenter (124.150.157.158) there appears to be an issue that emanates from that IP address.

Hop 7 apparently is OK. PingPlotter states that packet loss on a hop is OK if the destination is OK (https://www.pingman.com/kb/5). I’ve confirmed this, plenty of packet loss on that hop and FF14 works fine. My ISPs networking engineer I contacted also stated packet loss on a intermediary hop is OK as long as the final hop is working.

It appears that the packet loss that matters appears within the Square-Enix network. Below is the start of a failure.

I believe the 219117.144.x addresses belong to Square-Enix.

It then cascades from there:

I then get disconnected a few seconds later. By the time I fully close FF14 and restart, the route is behaving again.

This has been happening multiple times today and has happened multiple times in the past.

Can I please get assistance with this.

Thank you
